(Blogmensgo, gay blog of November 3, 2016) ßetabrand is planning to soon commercialize a denim jacket with hood that slowly reveals rainbow-colored threads after washing. This crowd-funding project was launched on November 1st, 2016 and is hoping for the same success as the Gay Jeans 2.5 years ago.
The designer Steven B. Wheeler had developed the Gay Jeans for ßetabrand in March 2014. Its indigo color fades out after several washes and reveals fibers in rainbow colors (see our article). ßetabrand (or Betabrand) had instant success with these jeans, and the preorders surpassed the expectations in a short time.

Young designer Kevin C. now uses the same technology – but for a men’s jean jacket with hood.
The jacket sports a relaxed and modern look suitable for many occasions. Its contrasting black hood and raglan sleeves are made of knit fabric allowing more comfortable movement.
Our article of April 2014 explains some more on the manufacturing and coloring technicalities.
The marketing strategy is slightly different this time: Visitors of the website may vote for the product after logging in with their e-mail address.
If it acquires enough votes from customers, the jacket will be available for preorder. If there are enough preorders for the jacket, it will then be manufactured and sold on ßetabrand.
The first voters will receive a discount. Initially, the jacket may only be for sale and mailed within the United States but will become available internationally later.
