(BlogMensGo, 25 August 2011) Tomorrow, BlogMensGo are flying into Manchester, UK for Manchester Pride’s 21st Birthday event! For me, this is my 6th Manchester Pride and my 5th within the parade, although this time not as a marcher, but as a reporter for MensGo.  I will be there with my MensGo attire snapping lots of pics for you all to see! On Sunday I will be interviewing Jackie Crozier the organizer of Manchester Pride, which may well be an interesting interview as she has recently announced she is stepping down as organizer to move onto other projects.

We land at 530pm, and have a mad rush to get to the Press event being held in the gay village! Then its out to hit the streets in the action packed weekend which spans Friday to Monday (Monday being a bank holiday in the UK) finishing off on Monday night with a Candlelit vigil in Sackville Gardens followed by fireworks.  Then we fly back on Tuesday :-(

After a couple of days of settling back into life at home in Switzerland, we are off again on our travels for the Sitges Bear week…so will follow the pics of burly/rugby built/hairy men!

Whether you are in Lausanne partying at 43&10, in Manchester for Pride….or elsewhere in the world! I hope you have a fantastic weekend and able to make the most of the sun before we lose it to winter!

The MensGo slip ©43&10

(Blogmensgo, August 25, 2011) If you are in Lausanne this weekend, reserve the nights of Friday 26 and Saturday, August 27, 2011 because it will be swinging in club 43&10 in partnership with MensGo, your social network gay five-star favorite! The evening of Friday Night is a Beach Party aimed specifically at young people aged 16 and Saturday Night Hot Beach is restricted to adults only.

Four months after the festivities of 15 April, 43&10 and MensGo are at it again, with a special page set up on Facebook to mark the event.

It all kicks off on Friday 26 with the R & B DJ Ritchy.  The clubbers will get nice beach decor with clothing and entertainment to match. There will even, it seems, be MensGo stamped swimwear.

It will end with partying on Saturday 27. Do not forget your ID card to ensure you are let in to party with DJ Ritchie Versus along with Gogo Boy dancers ;-)

The 43&10 being an LGBT club, do not be surprised to be greeted by a young male/female couple, who will animate the evening before giving way to our target heart burn.

Collectors can obtain MensGo goodies at the entrance, while the pixel fetishists will later watch the photos of the two parties on MensGo.com, where registration is free.

That says it all, but one can not conclude this article without the eternal order of circumstance: “Have fun and party hard! ”

Info:

Entrance on 26th 10 Swiss francs (€ 8.7) and 15 CHF (€ 13.1) on Saturday 27. Dressing room 2 CHF (€ 1.7) and as always identity card required.

Pope Benedict XVI is protected from the rain with umbrellas during a summer storm in Madrid, Spain. (Getty Images)

(BlogMensGo, 22 August 2011) The Pope has been in Madrid peddling his homophobic beliefs again.  Unfortunately (for him) he had to cut his speech short when a thunderstorm hit Madrid on Saturday night.

PinkPaper and Agence France-Presse report that strong winds and sheets of rain hit the air base Cuantro Vientos where Pope Benedict XVI was speaking, blowing off his skullcap and shaking the stage.

It is reported that 1,5 million people gathered to listen to his speech where he proclaimed marriage to be a union between a man and a woman only.  He managed to squeeze in ‘The Lord calls many people to marriage, in which a man and a woman, in becoming one flesh, find fulfillment in a profound life of communion’.  This was the final speech of his 4 day tour.

Hundreds of gays and lesbians had planned a kiss-in protest against the pope and his speech but were foiled by police, although, its believed that one couple managed to kiss in front of the pope’s vehicle.

In 2005, marriage between same sex parties was legalised but the catholic church has called for the government to outlaw this again as the Pope said last year that such marriage is a confusion to society’s values.

They say the lord works in mysterious ways….I am sure the Pope will not take the hint!
